As the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak continues, communities across West Berkshire have united together to support their families, friends and neighbours in need.
You will have no doubt seen offers of help have been pouring in on social media with concerns for the vulnerable and elderly, who are at a greater risk of serious illness from Covid-19.
We want to thank and help spread the word about the amazing support that is available across West Berkshire from our community champions who have offered to pick up shopping or medication to being at the end of the phone for a chat for those who are feeling lonely.
Dear friends, we are all facing great challenges, and alongside many other parts of our usual social life, the church has had to respond, and we have had to restrict our social gatherings and limit our services.
What this means is a different kind of church, because we are church in many more ways than meeting on Sunday services… St George’s and St John’s are both working to find ways to nurture and support our communities…
