Changes to Services

The life of St George’s and St John’s Churches is usually a flurry of activities; community groups, arts events, friendship, toddler groups, discussions and all the things that make ours a welcoming community.

At the very centre of our activities is our regular worship and prayer.

It is so hard to imagine months of not gathering and many of us feel rather lost. All we can do is find creative new ways to stay connected and be in touch with one another and God. Keep looking out for updates to websites and social media. Phone one another. And most importantly use this opportunity to discover, or rediscover, prayer, contemplation, holy reading, stillness…

With the church buildings now closed we are not permitted to live stream services from inside our buildings, so we will now discover new ways to worship together on Sundays and at other times. You can find all the details on our Prayer and Worship pages.
