Prayer and Reflection

Prayer is at the heart of everything we do. 

Morning Prayer – takes place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 8.50am at St George’s and Wednesday at 8.50am at St John’s. Details are available from the office. 

Contemplative Prayer – a short time for quiet prayer and reflection. Thursday from 6.00pm – 6.30pm at St John’s.  

Church open for prayer – St George’s Church is open for personal prayer and contemplation on Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30am – 2.30pm and for services on Sundays.

St John’s Church is open for personal prayer on Wednesday from 11am – 1pm and often at other times during the week.

St Michael’s Church is open daily during daylight hours.

Prayer intentions – a Weekly Prayer Diary is sent out by email including prayers for named individuals, together with prayer intentions for the week for our benefice, the local community and the wider world.
