Lent groups

St George’s and St John’s are running Lent Courses this year.

St John’s Lent Group is taking the Church of England’s title of Dust and Glory, but forging our own path as we explore Dust and Glory in the lives of the Prophets, The Psalms, Jesus of Nazareth, Saints and Mystics and in Modern life.
We will meet in St John’s Lady Chapel for five thursdays starting 23rd February. time is 12.30-1.30 and you are invited to bring a packed lunch with you!

The St George Lent groups are meeting from week beginning 27th February – Encountering Jesus afresh in John’s Gospel. Using resources from the York Courses, we focus on one Gospel reading per week, meeting intriguing characters such as Nicodemus, the woman at the well, the man born blind, and with them seeing God in a new light.

Tuesday mornings at 10am (28 Feb, 7, 14, 21 March)

 or Thursday evenings at 7.30pm (2, 9, 16, 23 March)

Both groups will be held at St George’s Church. Sign-up sheets are at the back of the church, or contact the Church Office on 01635 41249. All are warmly encouraged to attend.
