Food Banks – our Harvest Collection
For this year’s Harvest Festival (4th October) both churches in the benefice will be collecting for the food bank. Please bring your donations to either church before Sunday, 4 October.
West Berks Food Bank urgently needs food items donated and the best way to do this is through the collection points in supermarkets and at Sainsbury Local and the Co-op in Wash Common.
EXTRA COLLECTION POINT – There is a collection box in the cloister area outside St George’s Church, which is emptied regularly during the day. Please drop off any donations as you are passing. The collection point is open open Tuesday – Sunday, from 10.00am – 2.00pm.
There is always an up-to-date list of the items most needed on the Foodbank app. The following list is updated regularly.
30 September 2020 – There is an urgent need for:
- tinned fish
- sponge puddings
- tinned fruit
- rice pudding
Stocks are low for:
- chilli mix
- tinned vegetables

Well stocked items:
