The Archdeaconry of Berkshire are working with Berkshire Age UK to bring resources to those directly affected by the cost of living crisis.

Age UK writes: With costs of living increasing and worries beginning to surface about how to budget for the winter, we thought it would be helpful to share some resources. These are a mixture of links and contacts that may be helpful and are designed to be accessible to anyone.

Age UK online benefits checker – an information sheet that helps to you check your benefits entitlement.

Cost of living grants grid – details of the recently announced cost of living grants and who will be eligible to receive them.

Age UK information booklets – a link to the page on the Age UK website that has all the leaflets they produce on a wide range of topics, including benefits and support.

Better Housing, Better Health – a link to the website of a charity providing advice and support on heating your home, insulation and grants for new boilers (including home visits where needed).

Christians Against Poverty – If you’re looking for help, whether that’s help to get out of debt, find a job or gain vital life skills, Christians Against Poverty provides a range of free professional services across the UK through local churches.
