Shrove Tuesday at St George’s – eating pancakes, burning palm crosses and burying Alleluias!

Shrove Tuesday evening saw a lovely gathering of people of all ages who enjoyed some delicious freshly cooked pancakes, games for the young and young at heart, burning palm crosses ready for Ash Wednesday and burying Alleluias, which will remain buried during Lent to be rediscovered on Easter Sunday.
