Bishop Mary of Reading blessing St John’s accessible doors

It was a delight to welcome Bishop Mary to St John’s Church on Sunday to bless the iCAP project accessible doors. This was a fitting culmination to a 10 year project which has provided a more welcoming and accessible entrance to the church.

After the formal blessing, Bishop Mary led the Sunday service, and this was followed by a Q&A session hosted by Revd Becky where the congregations of all three south Newbury benefice churches came together to meet and learn more about +Mary who took up the role of Bishop of Reading earlier this year.
