Cheers to our benefice churchwardens!

Our benefice churchwardens enjoyed a celebratory drink with clergy before the annual licensing of churchwardens at the Bishop’s Visitation in Upper Bucklebury. The special service which draws together all churchwardens from the Newbury and Bradfield deaneries is an opportunity for churchwardens to be thanked, recognised and sworn in for the coming year by the Bishop or Archdeacon. As a benefice we are so blessed to have such a dedicated and collegial team of wardens and we remember all that John Huckle contributed before having to step down.
