Let there be light!

St George’s Church is undergoing a major refit of the lighting system. Moving from halogen lights that were increasingly failing, to environmentally-friendly LED lights that will last longer, and return the church to brightness. The church building is closed for two weeks while the work is done, but all mid-week activities will continue in the meeting room on the south side of the building, including the Welcome Café which will be open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.30am – 12.30pm. Services on Sunday will take place in St George’s Hall and we will return to the church for Palm Sunday on 24th March. Grateful thanks to all those who have so generously donated to allow this vital work to be done.
